Joel Melanson, P.Eng, is the President of Creative Concepts Engineering Inc. and a licensed Professional Engineer in both New Brunswick and British Columbia. He earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Université de Moncton in 2006 and brings nearly two decades of hands-on engineering experience across a wide range of industries.
Joel’s core areas of expertise include industrial automation and manufacturing, custom equipment design and fabrication, process improvement, and hydraulic systems engineering. Throughout his career, he has worked on complex and high-profile projects, including equipment and systems supporting the Orbital Sciences launch pad, the Point Lepreau's Nuclear Reactor retrofit, and custom machinery for food processing plants, sawmills, and other manufacturing facilities.
Creative Concepts Engineering was founded to address a critical gap in custom equipment manufacturing and to help clients improve production efficiency and reliability. What sets Joel apart is his practical, service-focused approach to engineering. During his studies, he trained alongside a maintenance team in a food plant—an experience that shaped his philosophy of designing equipment that is simple, robust, and easy to maintain.
